gif animation

I want to have an animated gif animation in my project...
but i wasn't able to get this managed..

please help me
it's only a moving picture...

Until the .gif patent is up this summer AMS doesn't support .gif format. But I think you can do that using either a web browser object or a media player object to display your image. Simply create one of these objects and then point it at your .gif.

Should we see that in AMS in an update to version 4, or in the new version 5?

I am not qualified to divulge that information but just as a layman's guess it would probably seem more likely for 5.0 I would think. Don't take this as official information, I truly have no idea what the plan is, although I know for sure as soon as that patent's up we will be adding .gif support in a timely manner.

Try http://www.gfx2swf.com/ works pretty good.

gif2swf works pretty good indeed. I myself like to tweek the gif a little. I like to bring the gif into flash and manipulate there. Basicly the same output, but I always add actionscript.
