Overview
Use the JRE6 update 7 dependency module with MSI Factory 2.0 to detect and install JRE6 update 7.
Background Information
The Java 2 Runtime Environment is intended for software developers and vendors to redistribute with their application. The Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment contains the Java virtual machine, runtime class libraries, and Java application launcher that are necessary to run programs written in the Java programming language. It is not a development environment and does not contain development tools such as compilers or debuggers. The JRE6 update 7 installation package is available as a stand-alone executable file, jre-6u7-windows-i586-p-s.exe. When this dependency module is included in your setup, it installs JRE6 update 7 if needed.
Installation Instructions
To make JRE6 update 7 dependency module available in your MSI Factory 2.0 projects, follow the steps below:
1. Close MSI Factory 2.0, if it is running.
