Hello All
There is a bug in the "Add files" dialog. If there is no file in the selected folder then the setting "All files in this folder and all subfolders" does not work. Previously in SF7 there did not need to be any files in the directory provided there was a folder present it would load any files/folders in but not in SF8. Is this a bug or a new feature? If it is a new feature then it needs to be able to be turned off. I have over three hundred installations that do not have files in the root directory of the app.

The support team already knows about this... well, at least I told them, but they said it was fixed and not an issue.
Adding files works fine in XP but in Vista I can't seem to figure it out. Maybe there is a trick to this....
We have recently confirmed this issue on Windows Vista. I have logged this REF: 17738

On a side note you should be able to add folders by doing a drag and drop of that folder into the file list.

Is there a REF # for the CD # issue?
I was in communication with IR over a year asking several times over that year being told it would be updated/fixed in Version 8.
Now I find out it was not fixed and someone went so far as to state that they don't know if it ever will be fixed. I thought that was a bit crass.

I am running XP not Vista. I got around the problem by adding a temporary file in the directory and then removing it after adding the files to the project. I did not try drag and dropping files.

Hello Adam
Drag and dropping does not work either. It removes the base folder from the asset. For example if the file is in a folder called abc then that folder name will be dropped from the path.
