Recommend an OS?

I just installed Parallels Workstation on my XP system. I have Vista Ultimate installed as a guest OS already. I was wondering if anybody could recommend another OS to install and check out. I was thinking of a Linux OS maybe?? Which one?

I've been running Linux at home under different flavours for at least 7 or 8 years now and only Debian for the last four.

My advice is to play around and try as many distributions as you can until you find one that you like. I found that Debian Testing provides a nice mix of stability and new features as I actually use the computer instead of simply trying out the newest bleeding edge ideas.

But Debian isn't the only great "User" distribution out there Ubuntu (as it's been said) is great, so is Fedora and Mandriva. Mint also looks like an interesting distribution but I've never tried it out.

If you have no trouble downloading and installing the operating systems I'd go to http://distrowatch.com/ and try whatever strikes your fancy.
