Anyone know how to create a dynamic favicon...like

You can create a favicon online here (http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/) and when you download the zip there's a text file that gives you instructions on what to do, basically upload the icon to the root of your webspace and add a line to the head section of your html. Very easy and straightforward. There's an option to create an animated gif with text.

edit - I've done it again. Read dynamic and thought animated :o

I'm wondering what a dynamic favicon is? Their favicon on the 7-11 site looks pretty normal to me.

Yes, ANIMATED was the correct term. Thanks for the link. I guess FF is the only browser to recognize it.

That's a first for me - misunderstanding correctly :lol.

As a matter of interest, I have IE7 and FF3 and it works perfectly on both for me.

I still don't get what the animation part is? Is the 7-11 favicon supposed to be animated?

It is animated when I look at it Ron - very reminiscent of a Flash pre-loader animation.

Second thoughts on that Ron - it's just the web browser "loading" icon that I'm seeing as an animation which is then replaced by the non-animated favicon once it's loaded :)
