Help! question about stream recording.

hey guys great time not been here...
i couldn't find what i was looking for in the forums.. so
here is a new threat...

Its about recording a live Radio Stream to an .mp3 file.

i want to record "IN AMS" a radio live stream.

Its now running in WMP plugin in ams, i want the user to have the
option to record the stream if they want to.

anybody plzz help me i want it to be an .mp3 file.
i know there are lots of stream recorders.

is it possible to let a program(that is already out there) to do the job
or i prefer to let ams doing it iitself...

Have at look at Total Recorder, Developer Edition (http://www.totalrecorder.com/productfr_trDEV.htm). I have used it in the past, to record the output of three different AM/FM radio capture cards in the same PC. With TR, you can record from any line or using the mixer output of the sound card, and you can control the product through COM. It should be very easy to communicate with the program using LuaCOM, making it record what you want, when you want, and in the format you want... ;)
