RizlaUK
07-05-2008, 02:52 PM
yeah IE can do that, rip ya dvd, upload it to youtube and watch it in ya browser, lol

your way might be a little bit quicker tho ;)

no, seriously, that sounds cool, but will it inclued dvd drivers/codecs or dose the user still need to install dvd software, just curious

My only Concern will be the runtime Size..... wich currently is at 5.7 MB including Library's

Imagine Programming

How much RAM does it use, cos if that's less then 45 MB then you have beaten FireFox;)

TristanD
07-05-2008, 04:54 PM
Beating FireFox was/is one of my main goals and Fusion Currently uses 23 MB of ram :yes

RizlaUK

can you use UPX on the runtime to decrease the size a little ?

firefox 3 useing 61mb on my system

TristanD

FireFox is a Resource Hog! because it keeps most windows, controls active but hidden instead of disposing them when they're not needed (Like fusion does)

This also depends on the configuration and addons you've got, Firefox loads all addons in memory.. just as Thierry says it all stays there but hidden

yeah, i just traced nearly 20 mb being used by the avg safe search plugin, disabled it and usage is now just over 40 mb but im gonner get hacked any min,lol

i might go back to opera again, never had any problems with that, nice n fast and feature packed.
