I saw Adam's post (http://www.indigorose.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23982) in the FAQ section and wondered idly who it was that found this out :)

I don't indulge in 'Schadenfreude' but sometimes a "Thank goodness it wasn't me" thought goes through my mind.

I have this picture of an irate user thumping the desk and saying that I have got to replace a broken drive.......

Thats terrible to hear. This actually came in from a user so we figured that we would pass on the information. It seems quite strange to me that a new type of CD drive would not be able to handle non standard CDs.. I will bet that the hardware retailers will be seeing more and more issues with this as time goes on.

It's for much the same reason that I absolutely refuse to use stick on labels on CD's. I have actually seen one that came off in a drive which had to be replaced.

Just googled slot loading cd and came up with dozens of jammed/broken Macs :wow
