It might be just me, but I do not publicize my unique craftsmanship....especially servicing the cheapskates in the real estate demographic. IMHO realtors are a TOTAL waste of time.

Come on Rob let-er rip! What-a-got??
A couple of years ago I did a number of Realtor cd's that were basic listing cd's. They had all the Realtor's listing, photos, data, maps, and each listing had a 360 panoramic of the inside, backyard, neighborhood and one more of the realtors choice. Everything was real time. I made a database online that everytime the cd was ran, it checked the database for sold homes, then tagged them with a sold banner across the listing. I made more money going to the house and taking photos, then stitching the photos in photoshop for the 360 then creating the cd. The first cd took time, then it was cookie cutter time after that. It was a nice little 9 months or so making great money for very little work. Most of the homes I did were on the market for $1 Million+, so the Realtor did not flinch at the price at all. I would post some but all files are gone, thanks to a thief who wanted my computer.
Advertising on the cd is a great idea. I wish I thought of that. $$$$$

Yes! Let’s do the #s shall we?
Assumptions:
* Each realtor must hand out 100 CDs per month
* Each CD will hold 12 business card ads (run time, one month)
* Ad setup is 25.00 (one-time fee) per advertiser
* Each ad is .50 per CD = 50.00 x 12 = 600.00 per CD (one realtor)
We have approx. 20,000 realtors in my county (large). Let’s say 1/2 of one percent use this FREE (to the realtor) program, that's 100 realtors...
100 x 600.00 = 60,000.00 per month.
* Ads are also sold at 1.00 per CD if they want a whole interactive page i.e. web site, email, movie e.t.c.

Well this was a good idea then the CD/DVD was new but its not anymore someone whom wants to do somthing on that scale would now opt for Digitale means EG websites and other thinks like that CD's are cheap but not really
the best way if your wanting your company to be green. there was a boom for this way back but these days you could so something simple like send a bluetooth add about your company and others.
Portable devices these days offer more then a just a portable offlice for the user but also a way to show off companys adds and other things like the company could offer free wifi sports and pay for it via adds.
i just feel that CD's are old skool and out of data and not ever green friendly.
:D

Ahh remember the cost of the website. Don't forget, the whole idea behind this CD are the ads and the spacific end users they go to. The realtors are only the vehicle.

Good point.

Lower capacity thumb drives can be used for this also. The per unit bulk price on these is getting cheaper then gasoline. lol.
With the money these folks are dealing with, a 64-128mg thumb drive is probably within scope?

Thumb drives are cool, but are there any duplicators that can do 300 an hour like CD's or DVD's. If there is Iim in;)
Cheers

I haven't got a goat, although a friend of mine keeps two for milking - next time one of them has a kid I could ask if you could have it ( err... what do you want a goat for ) :D

Does anyone know if there is any software available that gets around the need for each usb drive to be detected, installed and get a device name before you can use it. Obviously the duplicator has firmware that does this.
