Autoplay Applications cause Office 2003 to Self-Repair

Has anyone come accros this before?

Several Autoplay applications I have created, when run on my Companys computers, cause Office 2003 to self repair itself. No files are being copied to the computers from my Applications, so no Office files would be over written. Anybody had the same experience at all?

I have now discovered that if I attempt to 'find' or 'delete' multiple files on C drive, using a * wildcard, this cause Office 2003 and Symantec Antivirus to self-repair. This has me totally baffled.

    Anybody got any ideas?

Are you deleting any Office files? Is that useless background program that Office installs running on that system?

        Hi Lorne

        Not that I'm aware of.
All I'm trying to delete is *.mp3 files. I've searched the whole of the Office 2003 installation and there are no MP3's in it, but even if I do a FileFind for *.mp3, it causes the same problem - very weird.

This gets more mysterious - have now discovered it only does this if I have admin rights. Remove admin rights, and it works a treat, no self repair!
