Create a log file that gets all Installation info

Hi,

My first post! I really like this forum.
I have two questions for you guys:

1, How do I create a log file that will be filled out with installation info using a MSI package?
I tried using the MSI.EnableLog but it did not send anything to the log.txt??

2, Can I also make this work using a setup.exe file?

I guess I was a bit diffuse in my question??

I don't know if my question was diffuse so I'll try to sum it up with some more sentences

All I really want is to create a log file and then feed that log file with installation info. The info should be as much install info as possible to be used when debugging if an installation is not completed. I thought that if I used the MSI.EnableLog() I should get some info but the log file is empty after I have run the msi package???
I used the INSTALLLOGMODE_VERBOSE LogMode for this.
