Hi, I'm developing something of a major project (for my company) on Media Studio 7.0. Its an order tracking and auto-dispatch system, and as such it needs to be coordinated via an internet based database. I need to have access to the sytem from my office, and so does our dispatch partner, hence the need for an net based "hub" to the system.

Right now, I'm using the luaSQL extension (and associated AM "hacks"), and its working pretty well. I'm developing on an XP64 workstation, and the current target is that machine + my dispatch managers XP32 machine. I have a working client for my dispatch guys, but when I tried to develop this whilst on the go (with my Vista laptop) I encountered something of a show stopper...

At first I found the client worked,. But as it gained in complexity it started to bomb out. And now, well, I can't ever get it to preview on my laptop. In the short run, this is not really too much of a problem as the software only needs to run on my XP63 machine and their XP32 machines.

In the long run though, I intend to produce a new client which will allow our customers to download our products, instead of having them physically shipped to them.

So, is there a way to get more stable mySQL database access in AM7.0 i.e. is there a plugin I'm not aware of. Or alternatively, is there a fix or a work-around to the crash bug I currently have with the luaSQL extension?

Any help appreciated.

iv seen a few reports of luaSQL crashing on vista, officially there is no reported conflict between Vista and MYSQL so the *issue* lies in the LuaSQL library i would imagine
