Is there a way to play specific parts of a video clip?

I would like to play specific parts of my video clip without playing the entire file. I have found the "Seek" option and I can start at a specific "frame". But how do I "stop" at a specific frame? When I use the "Seek" option the video palys the entire clip from the point I specified.

Also thanks again for all the great info with my "Codec" issue!!

Sounds like a planning issue. Did you think of making clips? Doesn't make sense to load a larger video than the user is able to view... Know what I mean?

Well, are you saying to...(example) Cut a 4 minute video into 4 seperate clips at 1 minute each in order to start and stop at the specific areas I want played?

It's a basic limitation of the Media Player Object in version 4. You can use Seek to start a clip at a specific time, but you cannot stop the clip at a specific time without some serious programming.
