Still enjoying being back at this "Creativity/Problem Solving" programming/scripting/coding lark! :yes:yes:lol

Having trawled through the forums! (A highly enjoyable experience, recommended to all new users!) I have come across a few projects where people want to do things that AMS is unable to do (Yet!).

Specifically, coz it's something I'm trying to achieve, select certain audio tracks and burn an audio cd!

I realize protocol has invested money in a "plug in" to achieve this but it appears to still be a bit hit & miss (correct me if I'm wrong!) and expensive for the casual programmers like myself.

Not sure whether the following idea can be utilized by someone or not but there are a lot of Thinstall/No Installation/Stand Alone/Portable versions of software available. Not sure if they can be run from CD coz there meant to be USB, but because there's no installation/reliance on system side folders/files I thought maybe they could be utilized.

Incidentally, I've come across a Portable SF7!. Not sure if its legit or not coz I haven't checked, but its out there!

For a brilliant source of portable software try

http://www.portablefreeware.com/

I've successfully used deepburner from portablefreeware to burn an album from within AMS, in a workaround kind of way!

I now want to build a choose an album, choose a track/s and burn a compilation CD, but can't get my head round the passing selected info from one list box to another then on to deepburner, so any hints or tips appreciated.

P.S. B4 anyone pipes in it's all audio created by me/my company! I just want to give yet another method of spreading the word locally!:rolleyes

Hey Rizlauk, appreciate the input but I haven't got a clue what you mean by "try this ocx with LuaCOM". Well, I know AMS uses Lua, but thats as far as I go. How I would incorporate audiocdburner is beyond me.

It took me 3 weeks to get a workaround with deepburner! Any how as I've (kinda) got the burner thing solved thats not really my problem at the moment. Just got to figure out how to list individual albums, choose one, show tracks from album, choose tracks from album, limit amount of tracks, then burn.

Should be simple! :lol:lol:lol:huh
