Hi to all IR staff:

First I must say congratulations to IR for the new releasing new ams version
RTF actions is cool, slideshow action too very cool. Any way I had 2 comments for you.

First; Why in next updates do not include a zooming option for area work ( Im
referring the blank area when I create new project, for example 750 x 550 pixels) When you create a big blank sheet I every time I want to move a specific zone that is outside screen I have to use the horizontal and vertical scrollbars to get it visible at screen. I think seriously a little option for zoom project using a edit box o combobox with percentage method for custom you needs in realtime. I think its something annoying have to do this kind of laborious of task. Only my thought no offense.

Second: When I threatened to using the RTF action I tested putting a slideshow arranged in back mode and the document RTF arranged in front mode over slideshow. But the RTF I had set to transparent and when I preview project it shows only the slideshow, but if I set similar action with RTF in background solid mode I get visible the Rtf but sacrificing visibility slideshow which is a "acceptable" result. Maybe is a limitation or is a bug?

Its all I must say and thanks for the time in reading this post.

Hi Autoplmst6,

Thank you, zooming is currently in our suggestions database for consideration. We have seriously considered this feature in the past, and will continue to in the future. This is one of those features that would require a great amount of work, so its implementation will depend on the priority of some other featues we would like to include (trust me, there's a long list ;) ).

As for the RTF object problem, I can't say at this point whether it is a limitation or a bug, but have submitted a report to have it looked into (REF: 17141).

However, I did find a work around. If you place a "Page.Redraw" action on the "On Slide Changed" event, it seems to produce the results you are looking for. You'll have to see whether or not this will produce any negative visual effects, but I hope that helps.

Hi Darryl:

Here is a attached apz for more clarity for your investigation in this "issue". ;)

As for redraw I cant figure how to place it exactly in that event (On Slide Changed"), is there any sample for it?

PD: See in project explorer pane there is all the objects I used for showing you, note I tried to arrange rtf object first upon slideshow

Regarding the zooming, the 2× and perhaps 4× pixel zoom (no bicubic sampling and stuff) would be more than enough.

The other option would be to introduce dynamic guidelines (as in Delphi), that would show up when you move some object and it gets aligned with another object on the page, and once you stop moving the object they would disappear.

I totally and really want that option! I rather have that then guidelines. I also made this suggestion long ago.

Count me in!

Thanks for the other comments/suggestions regarding the zoom. I've updated the current submission (REF: 434).

autoplmst6, yes, I we were on the same page as my example was the same as yours. However after testing yours, I noticed that the solution I provided didn't work when you had "Transitions" turned on in the SlideShow object.

But just to clarify my earlier suggestion, go to the SlideShow object's properties dialog, click on the "Script" tab, and select the last event to the right "On Slide Changed", and paste "Page.Redraw();" into it. As I say though, it doesn't work with the transitions turned on though.

Darryll perphards, maybe a little "non professional" solution putting in front instead a rtf object upon slideshow, an paragraph object this works fine but the only negative thing is the imposibility using properties colour-formatting text as the rtf have.

While you prepare the next patch from next months maybe would have any solution for that.

And for zooming Im agree with Bule.

I'd like to see a zoom feature as well.
Even just a 2x would help the squinting eyes :)

Thanks,

Worm, Thank you...

Pretty kewl : )

Works very nice! Only complaint is the mouse doesn't show up on the zoomer like windows utility magnifier (run/magnify -or- Windows Key + u), which I currently use maximized on separate monitor while fine turning in autoplay. Problem is after awhile u start feeling sea-sick from all the movement. It's just not the same as having a zoom built into the software so you don't have all the scrolling motion. Just a suggestion. Wouldn't trade Autoplay for anything : )
