AMS doesn't support .gif at all, transparent or otherwise, because there is a patent on the .gif format from it's owner Unisys (check Google for more) which doesn't expire in Canada until next summer. Although you can load .gifs via a web object or a media player object. [img]/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif[/img]
Also you can easily create transparency for images though by using the transparent background feature in the image object properties dialog.
It does not support GIFs due to the licensing that was required for the gif format. This format just ran out recently though and there was talk about it on the forum. Do a search and I am sure you will find a better explaination as to why it is the way it is.
Sure it can, like I said, just use the transparent background option in the image objects properties, works exactly the same as transparency with .gif does... You can use that feature with .bmps and .jpgs too. [img]/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif[/img]
