Question
I add a video to my AutoPlay application and it runs fine on my system. When I test this CD on other computers the video does not play. Why is that?

Answer
This is almost always a codec issue. The end users machine must have the ability to playback the videos in your AutoPlay project.

Possible courses of action

Convert the video to a format that has a greater chance of working on all machines. MPEG-1 is a very safe codec because all machines from Windows 98 and up will run this type of file. There are also safe AVI codecs such as Intel Indeo (IR31 or IR32), Supermatch Cinepak, Microsoft RLE (MS-RLE), Microsoft Video 1 (MS-CRAM)
You may be able to find an installer that installs the appropriate codec. This may not be your best option though because it adds overhead to your project.
If you are using .wmv files then you may want to look at encoding your videos with an older version. For example if you have a .wmv video that is encoded with version 10 then your end user will also have to have version 10 installed.
