I have a CD with two PDFs. When I tested it in a machine with no Adobe Reader it gave me a message “Error 1011”. I have the logo from adobe, and their license to use it, and I think the best way to go about it would be to include the actual Adobe Reader file (I also have the license to distribute it). But apart from including a button that would install the Reader, and expect the user to install it before trying to open a PDF document, is there a way to “react” properly to the 1011 error from inside Autorun MAX?

There is no way to do that using Autorun MAX. You can do that with AutoPlay Media Studio 6.0 though. It allows you to use dependencies so that things like detecting and installing acrobat reader can be done as soon as the app is launched. From this question and your other one about launching offline Web pages, I am thinking that AutoPlay Media Studio 6.0 might be a better fit for your needs. You might want to download the trial version and see if that is the case.
