A very simple and easy to use application that lets you build autoruns for your removable drives, all without every laying a finger on your keyboard - all it takes is a few mouse clicks and this app does all the work for you...

Key Features:

Fully Automated - Automatically copies required (single) files to your the drive...
Create Autorun Configuration files, complete without errors...
Mini Manager that list removable drive info, and options (Space, Safe Removal etc)
Uses Windows Xps abilty to displays an autorun window to display the action that will be taken, along with the application icon and title. It can also autorun an executable and display and edit the Volume Label.

Main Purpose:
Simply to add a polished detail to your removable hard drives

-DLLSafeRemoveDrive (dll)
Friethoe
-Traytip v2
Roboblue - from whos app I got the idea:) (USB Lock Down)
And Indigorose and the forum (in case I miss any)

P.S: First things first, this is still very much a beta version and is far from complete, and I still don't have a proper name for this app or havent even started on a proper GUI yet, since this idea came to me only 3 days back, but I have ideas to really expand this application and add more features, or add this as part of an option for another app that I have ideas for; if not I will release the source file (.apz)...

As always any Comments/Suggestion are welcome...

hi, im not sure if I did anything wrong, but it dont work for me...
It copies the app I select to the USB drive, but after removing the drive & plugging it in, nothing happens, just the usb drive window opens as I just double-clicked the drive in My Computer, did I do something wrong?

I might be wrong, but maybe you havent clicked on the Edit/Overwrite button after adding in the required files mate, or else you might have disabled autorun for you drives - cos I just downloaded and tried it out and it seems to work fine for me and the rest of the gang...(also some feature may only work on Win Xp:Service Pack 2 onwards)...Sorry I forgot to mention that earlier

By my experience, writing an Autorun app needs a very good knowledge about Autorun/Autoplay functions, system tweaks and so on.

If you really want to develope a serious software, these issues must be considered, not only regarding WinXP, but also for previous Windows versions, because a lot of users are still using Win98, Millenium, NT...

Anyway, a good example of a portable Autorun manager / application launcher is MyPendrive (www.mypendrive.org).

This is a very useful software that not only uses standard autorun functions, but is able to detect every type of connected drive and performs various actions like automatic backup, application/document launch, web browsing and a lot more.

The main difference between MyPendrive and other similar softwares (Pstart, Apo Autorun suite) is that MyPendrive is resident on the removable drive and is not installed on the PC, so you can have its power always with you.

Cheers!

I would just like to say Jonny 6 portable is just the same with the way you take the software with you yes i have not yet built the Converter Tool for the software yet but i will soon as the menu system its self is working.
MyPendrive will have have a downfall where Jonny want Jonny as become freeware All updates i make for Jonny will also be freeware i was thinking about a pro version what i have scraped instead i am going to offer it with a pen drive so you pay for the drive not the software in anyway well this is
what i am hoping.
