MiscOS-OCX Plugin is finished !

This plugin has 16 actions regarding to Windows OS and User information .
The Actions are :

MiscOS.GetPlatform
MiscOS.GetProductID
MiscOS.GetRegisteredOwner
MiscOS.GetRegisteredCompany
MiscOS.GetComputerName

The plugin has a self-installer , it has Actions Wizard Integration, and if you want to use it , just open in templates window the " MiscOS-OCX-Plugin.Blank.Project " template.
The plugin is freeware , and I made it from an OCX from "Rye Production" site : http://www.dhost.info/ryeproductions/index.php?l=lib

Initially I wanted to do a big plugin ( about 200 functions ) , but it takes too much time , so I do it "in pieces"

You must have LuaCOM plugin installed to use MiscOS-OCX , because , as it shows the name , the base for this plugin is an ActiveX library
I will keep you on current with new updates and releases.

Ok , i'll wait :)) , but I found a little bug in this plugin ( sorry for that ) in the the " MiscOS-OCX-Plugin.Blank.Project " template ,Page--> On Preload --> , first line is :
System.RegisterActiveX("C:\\AdvFuncLib.dll")
replace it with :
System.RegisterActiveX("AutoPlay\\Docs\\AdvFuncLib.dll")

The same thing you should do Page--> On Close --> at the first line :
System.UnregisterActiveX("c:\\AdvFuncLib.dll")
replace it with :
System.UnregisterActiveX("AutoPlay\\Docs\\AdvFuncLib.dll")

Uptime it isn't working... I just can't figure out how to call this property from ocx...hope to make it work soon !

Yes , you can work with labels and all other stuff ( combo , listboxes , paragraphs..etc..)

And yes , you need to have LuaCOM Installed for the plugin to work...

sorry i cant get it and re-upload it for you either as i get the same error, it is a crap upload site, this is one of the things they use constantly to force you to buy their premium membership, i'll keep trying, and if i manage to get it i'll re-upload it to a more user friendly site

still can't get it, which is odd, a 12 hour wit is usually good enough to clear these kind of issues, we may have to wait for mz to re-upload it to a more favourable site

ok, i got them, had to hook through an elite proxy from portugal to get them though :rolleyes ... that is one upload site i will NEVER upload files too !

yeah that can be a pain, but the benefits are your files never get deleted as long as you login at least once every 6 months, theres no wait for users to download and no advertising, i have had a box.net account for nearly 2 years and my files are still there (although i use my own server for hosting now)

therein lies the problem, i usually forget to log into places for a while, i lost my hushmail email addy like that :rolleyes

however if it's as good as you say i might have a second look at it, send me over a file link will you, anything, just want to see how it looks from a users point of view, as at the moment i use wikifortio as it's clean, but files only last for 99 days :(

another irritation about box.net is the 1 GB limit

yeah, a 1 gb limit per account and a 10mb limit on all files if you not upgrade, but its perfect for small ams projects and such

1. nice and clean, your right, i like that
2. first press on download button resulted in opera displaying the text "Plugin Content" :(
3. second attempt resulted in the file being passed to flashget, like it should do.... but it tried to download a file called "index.php" :( not good
4. right click button and save as or save directly to download folder worked :) ... so i guess it doesnt like download managers

sorry guys, that crappy upload site (files-upload) had stopped the download on the file corrupting it and i didnt realise when i re-uploaded.

so yet another stupid attempt by them to force you to get premium (no resume in free mode) ... for a site that wants you to upload files that you want to share, it makes it virtually impossible for people to get said files, this is one site that in all honesty you should tell everyine to boycott ... its CRAP

ok, lets try again, this should be the installer app, this time not corrupted, and no, that was not easy to get from that site it kept binning off my proxy routed attempts during download, i had to find the point at which the location check ended and then swtch back from my proxy before starting the download :rolleyes

you have a bug in the installer exe ... and i now have an unexpected folder in my C:\Program Files folder .... you can not assume that everyone has AMS installed in the C: drive, many of us prefer to have a seperate applications drive ;)
