Hi
Also posted in the SUF 7 forum since the solution could be used in either my SUFWI or SUF 7.
New to SUFWI, and never before having worked with the end-user's registry in my use of SUF 7 either, I would be grateful for some help with this.
I have a package of files which I can show via an attached screenshot. They are the components for an ActiveX control for audio. I would like to package them into an installer using SUFWI or SUF 7, place the installer on my web site for the end-user to download, install on their computer and properly register.
I'm totally "in the dark" about how to set up registry for components. To basics, how do I set up SUFWI (or alternately SUF 7) to register all of the components needing registry?
I also am not sure where to install these components on the end-user's computer in order to get them to function together as an ActiveX control. The web page has the scripted buttons for the sound recording (record, stop), but it requires that the end-user has the ActiveX controls on their computer. The ActiveX object plus a License Manager object are already embedded in the web page. I'm afraid this is an area for which I have very limited ability. Feel free to take a look at the sample web page at:
www.writingprojects.com/audiocaptureweb.htm
Any help would be appreciated.
Kind Regards,
SGW
