    Help: AMS RUNTIME ERROR 9

    Hi,

    Customer is getting the following error on Win 98 and XP machines:

    AMSRUNTIME
    EXTRACT ERROR: 9

    Whats the deal here? Please help.

    1. What version number of AMS are you using to build the project with?

    2. Full or trial?

    3. You say "machines" how many did you test on?

      4.0, Full.

      The customer tried it one one XP and one NT machine. The thing is, tons of other users have used it with no problems.

        Please install the upgrade patch to the latest version of AMS and then re-build your project. Let us know how that goes.

          How is it being distributed to the users? CDs? Download?

          It sounds like there is some file corruption going on. Could be anything from a bad burn, a bad disc, a bad download, a bad drive...
