Today (August 8, 2007) we have released a new version of Setup Factory for Windows Installer (v1.1.1007). To get the latest version, select Help > Check for Update from the menu. The latest trial version can be download here (http://www.indigorose.com/setup-factory-for-windows-installer/free-trial.php).

We have packed a lot of new features, enhancements and fixes into this new release. See the Readme file (http://www.indigorose.com/files/sufwi/Readme.htm) for details.

Thanks Brett.

This product just gets better and better unlike another product I shall not mention that provides no support beyond the current version, wants a fortune to upgrade, and throw their toys out of the pram if their product is criticised for being useless.

Carry on with the good work - I have already built two installers that I failed to do with the other system and just glad you took my advice to create a MSI installer.:lol

Brett;

A few things I have noticed with the latest version:

1. It does give notice on Merge Modules that have further dependencies but I personally think giving the message is not enough, it should offer to add them and it is down to the user to accept them.

Further more, using a common dialogue is no good to browse, it should be in a list for easier access, since it is a permanent feature. As it stands, it does not remember the path to the "Merge modules" folder so I have to browse to it which is a pain in the neck.

2. File viewer window does not seem to display .ico files, it seems to cache the one from one of the EXE files within the setup.

So far so good. I DO like the video, looking forward to the advanced versions of it, I wish all my products were as simple as your "Product X" ;-)
