Hi!

I new to this forum and a newbie to AMS 4.0.

What I want to do is,make an autorun cd menu and insert flash objects over a background image with links and actions.

So far I have the background image with flashtext objects.
(all flash objects made with dreamweaver MX)

I figured out that I have to put the link in the flash object in Dreamweaver to get it work.

Now I have 2 things I can't work out.

1.
I have a textflash object and I want to go to page 2 in my project when i click on it(what do I do?)
2.
The second thing I want to close autorun window, when I push the exit button(dreamweaver flash button).

Can somebody tell me how to do these 2 things?

Remeber I am a newbie!

1. Use an FScommand. There are plenty of posts around here describing how to do that as well as in the Help files.

2. Same thing.

I searched the forums and the internet for 2 days now, can someone please help me with this one.

I have tried at least 50 ways to apply javascript:window.close() to the flash object(exit button) in dreamweaver an in autoplay I have tried fs command in many different ways but nothing works.

The only thing that happens when I click the exit button is that an blank web page opens.

About the page problem I haven't even tried today.

I have searched for tutorials with no luck!

Odd. It took 3 seconds to come up with this link using our forum search...

Check out the UBB FAQ at the top right, as well Google offers lots of tips on how to search properly. If you are spending hours and hours searching for things and still not finding any answers to your questions you should definitely read some search tips.

Re: corey

As I told you I am new to autoplay, so I need a step by step instructions how to do things in autoplay, so take this exit button, if it is easy to set up somebody should be able to explain what to do and the same with a flash object that take you to the next page.

The link you provided what is it? "a square that change numbers on mouse over" is that really what I asked for?

If you cant help don't border answer!

Actually the movie demonstrates very simply, step-by-step, how to use an FSCommand to create a page jump which is precisely what you requested... (exact same principle applies to creating exit links or any other flash interactivity)

Please be polite when requesting assistance in our forum, let's work together to keep it a pleasant place for everyone. /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif As far as learning goes, a little effort goes a long way in the start, if you're just getting started you'll find that rolling up your sleeves and getting in there for a few minutes will clear up a lot of your questions. Best of luck...

Re: corey

I 'm sorry, I didn't mean to be unpolite.

I got frustrated when couldn't manage a simple thing.
I always want to do things fast even if I haven't done it before.
I will study a little bit try and fail until I make it.

No probs. It's really a lot easier than it seems. FScommands are like envelopes. They carry messages to and from flash. AMS can detect when your flash movie fires an FScommand and can react to that in any way you like. Just watch the vid a couple times, I'm sure you'll get it working...
