Setup Factory 5.0 - The Next Generation Installation Builder
Indigo Rose Corporation announces Setup Factory 5.0, a visual development tool for software deployment and installation via diskette, CD-ROM, LAN and Internet. Setup Factory offers developers a solution for creating flexible installation systems without learning a proprietary scripting language. It additionally sets itself apart by providing the customization and advanced control features that developers require. The single-file setup.exe targets multiple platforms including Windows 95/98 and Windows NT/2000.
The Project Wizard assists developers by creating a working installation that can then be edited using the RAD environment. Setup Factory 5.0 also eliminates the burden of manually determining dependencies with its new Runtime Wizard. There is built-in support for the most common development systems such as Visual Basic 5 and 6, ODBC, BDE, ADO, DAO, OLE DB, RDS, MSJET, Adobe Acrobat, QuickTime and more.
While new users will appreciate the speed of development, Setup Factory 5.0 also supports advanced deployment situations with dynamic variables, conditions, registry editing, file search, shell operations, extensive international language support and a serial number management system.
The new Screen Manager and Dialog Gallery offer control over the look and feel of the installation.
