Hey Guys - Me & my friends are finding it difficult to download stuff that you guys upload on rapidshare...I'd wish you guys could load it on maybe sendspace.com

I'd really hope AMS unloaders would use any other upload site other than rapidshare...:o Pls...

actually, a GREAT site (and i've mentioned it on here before) is BOX.NET they give you 1 GiG for free and you can have Public Shares and it keeps tracks of # of Downloads for you. Very Simple.

Hi,

I use my own servers to share AMS files and etc. Just like to have better control and can view statistics.

It is done!.

To upload your files all you need is an FTP client
The username and the password.

the uploaded file will be available at: http://ams.jochost.dk/YouFileName

For securety resons I wont post the user and password here but if you wont it you are more then well come to send me a message either email or PM and I'll give it to you, no strings attached.

There are a few rules for this:

- I've set a disk quota of a 200MB (as I use the server for commercial purpose)
- files that are not used for a long period of time will be moved offline (I wont delete it but move them to a USB Harddrive in my office, so they will be available on request.)
- I do have some Trafic limits but I dought that We wil reach it (if we do we just have to look at changing it at that time).
- Any abuse and I close the FTP account imidietly.
- You welcome to post all file types, no restrictions on that.

I think thise are resonable demands If any one disagree well...

Have fun with it

cheers,
Jonas

Wow! that a lot of free space m8 - so I guess setting up an FTP wouldn't be a problem on your behalf in terms of storage, and it'll be great for this community, since users will have a few more options:yes ...

@JonasDK - I don't think that direct FTP links work when posted on the forums.

I have been having trouble directing link download so i post the the download page of my site.

Example:

Direct Link: http://mz.phpnet.us/M-Soft/files/File_03.zip

Download from page (AMS Windows Style Buttons): http://mz.phpnet.us/M-Soft/products%20&%20examples.html

I've allways used that when posting on the forum, never had any problems, ofcause I havent tried to download my own things... :lol

The FTP I setup works like this.

you have MyApp.exe or MyApp.amz

You upload the file via FTP to the FTP site.

The users can then download your file from http://ams.jochost.dk/MyApp.exe

What I have discovered is that I often save my projects or files with capital letters like Myapp.exe instead of myapp.exe And often when I write a post in the forum it goes a bit to fast and I forget to capitalize the link.

I'm in the middle of doing a Project that will control the FTP site that I will post here so people can upload to it.
