SF 7.0 trial crashing on vista

i'm currently using sf 5.0 on vista 32 and it's working well so before upgrading to sf 7.0 i decided to try it, i've downloaded and installed sf 7.0 trial, i managed to install it, i can launch it, choose a directory for my files but each times i'm clicking on a setting on the left side of the screen (no matter wich one is chosen : themes ...) immediate crash

Run it in compatiblity mode to Windows XP with Service Pack 2, that seemed to help me. I had 6.0 and tried the trial of 7.0 keep crashing on startup. Had to use compaitbilty mode works great now.

you may also have to check the run as administrator as well.

I just did a quick test on Vista doing what you described, but didn't have any problems. One thing you should make sure of is that you are using the latest evaluation version of Setup Factory which is 7.0.6.1. You can find the version information under Help > About Setup Factory.

Also check to see if you are running it as an Administrator. There were some issues reported (not what you described) running it as a standard user that will be resolved in the next service release.

I'm able to run SF 7.0 with no apparent problems on Vista, fwiw.
