Looks like Microsoft has turned on the, ahem, light for Silverlight, formerly WPF /E.

This technology looks like it will be big business. Lots of chatter going on about it.

I'd like to see I.R. get serious today about us building applications for the Web. They've hammered the Desktop pretty dang good. Seems logical to hit the Web app. end sooner than later?

shhhhh ... let's get AMS 7 first ... :)

I thought that Silverlight was a web browser plugin competing with Adobe's flash and pdf formats? And, that Adobe acquired Macromedia to establish a more solid competition base?

That's it, a plugin. A take off from WPF. Where WPF and XAML is used mainly to create Desktop applications with a whole new look and funtionality. It's crazy, from what I have seen, on what you can do when compared back to just GDI efforts. It's a reading-up-on for sure.
