I understand that yes there are a large number of buttons available for purchase for use with AutoRun Max. Say I want to make some custom buttons for use by my company or for individual projects that buttons must not be generic buttons. Other than changing events and such, how would I go about modifying the buttons? I take it you have a software package that I'm not aware of yet that you used to create them in the first place?

I don't use Autorun MAX!, but I would be willing to bet the button format is the same as the one used in AutoPlay Media Studio. The button format there is a simple zip file renamed to have a .btn file extension. Inside, PNG image files for the button states, and an XML manifest.
If your buttons have a .btn file extension, try opening them with Winzip or some other unzipping utility. You should be able to extract the XML and hack together your own buttons if you can edit your own PNG images.
Alternatively, you could purchase AMS and get the included ButtonMaker program.

Actually, the Button Maker that Eric is referring to is also part of Autorun MAX!. You can find this tool for creating button files by selecting Tools > Button Maker from the program menu.

Too cool, Darryl! Now, if only time would permit, I'd cook up some cool button sets like I've always threatened to do... :)

I was working with the trail version and did not notice that option, but the information on the "Hack" for making buttons and the "in program" editing is good information.
Thank you,
