Here's an odd one. My sweetie (well, she not THAT odd!) is taking on-line classes to get a master's while collecting unemployment from that p'tak of a school district. Anywho... after she's been taking classes and LEAVES said classes, exiting IE in a "normal" fashion, her notebook's fan starts running big time indicating that the CPU is crunching something pretty heavy duty. No IE in the task bar, launch, or "applications" tab of task manager. However, IE IS running under "services", and it's sucking up a lot of cycles. Any guesses? I ran a heavy-duty virus swipe and nothing on that front. Could it be that one of the on-line course do-hickies isn't particularly well behaved when it shuts down?
