lol, thanks for the input bruce but no, it dosent help,
im not talking about the project menubar im talking about the main ams interface menubar
from the manual
Customize...
Opens the Customize dialog where you can create custom toolbars, shortcut keys or link to external programs.
but thats all the information there is on the matter,
i want to add links to some external programs to the ams gui, to save me leaving the ams window to launch them (roboblues x dialog app and a sqlite database viewer) as well some paths to folders (i know...im just lazy)
in the tools menu at the bottom there is a customize tab, click that and it opens the customize dialog, in the commands section you can add a "new menu" just drag it to the ams menu and it sticks there, but thats as far as i can get, there is no information on how to configer the new menu, and iv tryed every thing i can think of, nothing works, i just have a empty menu
has anyone managed to customize the menu.....if so......plz tell me how

There is no way to add custom commands to the toolbars. When you customize the toolbars it is just allowing you to re-arrange the tools that are already there.

ah, ok, thats why i couldent get anywhere with it then, lol
may i ask, is this a feature intended for a later version of ams as it dose state in the manual: Opens the Customize dialog where you can create custom toolbars, shortcut keys or link to external programs.
its just after reading that i automaticly tryed to link to some programes and after looking in the customize dialog there is no way of linking to any program
the reason i ask this is that i was going to make my own addon for my ams but if this feature is going to be in a later versoin i wont bother and focas my efforts on other projects,
or, could this be taken as a suggestion for a later version

That was a feature with ver 5.0 but was taken out with current version. It WOULD be nice to have this back.
