Well, I have tons of server space just lying around, I thought about setting up a small site for AMS\IR users to share projects, code, etc..

Does anybody think it would be worth the effort? Or do the forums have all that wrapped up?

the thing with the forum is projects once posted kinda get lost in the pile, it would be handy to have a site where us freeware makers could upload and showcase our projects with out them being bumped down 2 pages in a week,

i put most of my stuff on my website but many users dont have websites and some of the projects iv seen here are well worth a showcase of some sort,

i would do it myself but my server space is very limited and im not that great with php, if you did such a thing i would donate some ams code/examples/projects to post there, it sounds like a good idea to me :yes

no one must be a php developer to open a website .. There are a lot of free open source php scripts lying around "Nice listing here www.opensourcecms.com" .. You just read the read me file and you are done :)
You dont need to develop something special either if you dont have time!

I hear what you say and I make no judgement about the companies concerned. The web hosting forum on thinkbroadband.com sees regular mentions of 1&1.

I question the actions of someone who registers on a forum and their one and only post is to make recommendations. 1&1 get only a very cursory mention perhaps to try to legitimise the post which is really about another 'company' (perhaps a re-seller account, I don't know).
