View Full Version : Linux Ports of IR Products
Maybe this is an overly hypothetical converstation but I've been turning more and more to Linux recently and am interested in seeing how many others would be geeked to see Linux ports of the various IR products (AMS/TU/VP/SUF)...
While we're on the subject, what is your Linux flavour of choice? I've been running Xubuntu and am really impressed with the performance/speed.
While I understand why it would be nice to be able to use such products in a *nix environment, I don't think it would be worth it in the end. I think the percentage of people who code under *nix who are a member of these forums would be very small. Also, the nature of the IR products (to me) are aimed at people who want to get a solution done to a problem quickly. *nix and getting a job done quickly just don't go together in my opinion.
I like Slackware and Debian, so naturally I took a liking to Ubuntu as well.
Just my penny (sorry, the other penny went to Revenue Canada.)
