Adobe GoLive/Macromedia Dreamweaver, anybody got any thoughts on which is better, generally?

Dreamweaver is the better all-around tool, particularly if you do heavy scripting or lots of Flash oriented stuff.

I think GoLive has the edge in Photoshop/QuickTime integration, however.

Bottom line: they're both professional tools with decent lifetime quality.

No question, hands down Dreamweaver, for about 200 reasons. In this case I know of that which I speak. I use a combo of Dreamweaver and EditPlus for all my scripting/coding.

Hey, 3000+ posts, Corey -- we really need to get out more, eh? ;)

If you really must use a layout tool, then Dreamweaver is the least objectionable of the bunch. :)

You can also go far with a good text editor, such as Homesite, UltraEdit, heck even OmniPad.

TopStyle gets rave reviews if you're into CSS.
