Hey @ all... I don't know, is it possible to make a burning program with APMS? Perhaps with the Lua Plugin? Thanks

If its data and they XP or greater, you can copy the files to the users

\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning

Once the files are there, the user will get the bubble telling them there are files waiting to be burned.

I have requested this feature in the past and if it ever becomes available that would be a boon to some of my applications I have created and the one I am creating!

There was a link around here somewhere that would help the DEV team I do believe. It may be back in the AMS 5 forum. But, I know it would take time and it may happen, just in another major version or two, down the road.

@Worm, that's a good tip!

I've got the runtime CD Burning function working in AMS:

What do you mean? Do I just tell it to copy the files they put to that folder? I couldn't find that folder on my system...

Probably because I have Vista... What is the folder in Vista?

The problem with using Windows' built in burner is that when I ran public tests, the general market couldn't follow Microsoft's directions and even though i'd walk them through it, they'd also skip a step and get fustrated. So I had this created. Try it out for yourself http://www.EverydayLogic.com/AMS

It's a custom-built engine that doesn't use thrid party plugins such as Nero's SDK, etc. It feeds off of input from your variables. So you give it:

1) List of source files
2) Target drive letter
3) CD label (CD Name)
4) The command to "go"

The Demo was built in AMS 6/7 and your purchase of the Burner for $150 includes the burner and the demo application's source file (APZ) so you can get up and running right away! Also, if enough people are interested, those who order the data burner will get the audio burner for free.

The purchase excludes resell rights (obviously), but is open for your to use in your AMS application without limitation (commercial or otherwise) as long as it is only used as a secondary function of your application (do not just take my demo code and republish it as your product). Otherwise, use it to your heart's delight!

Again, check it out for yourself at http://www.EverydayLogic.com/AMS
