Help, someone????

I still can't figure out why my project is so big!

Can someone please help me with this problem?

I have only 16 project pages and only 167 kbs TOTAL in images,
and NO music files...and I still end up with a 30 meg project.

I don't understand it. I have "optomized" and it still is 30 megs. eek!

All of my images have the resolutions reduced by over 50% each.

I took out the music ogg file...so there is no music in the project now.

Below is a list of my pictures, so you can see that they do not total up to much...there must be something else I am doing wrong.

In the past, using a different multimedia software I won't mention here,
I made an 86 page project with LOTS of images and LOTS of music midi files
and the whole finished project was under 9 megs only.

That is why I don't understand why this AutoMax project with only 16 pages,
approximately 22 pictures totaling only 167 kbs, and no music files, is a large
30 megabyte project????:huh

Granted, about six of my images size up to around 400 x 650,
but the others are medium to very small.

Here is a list of the photos I am using:

Jpeg sizes and approximate kbs:

Important Note:
I have "reduced" the resolution on all of these images and they
really have low resolutions and "all" add up together to only
about "167 kbs" "TOTAL" as follows:
[repeated from another of my posts not answered regarding these images]

450 x 600, 21 kbs
450 x 600, 27 kbs
450 x 600, 22 kbs
480 x 360, 9 kbs
203 x 146, 5 kbs
300 x 458, 13 kbs
278 x 468, 9 kbs
110 x93, 2 kbs
480 x 650, 24 kbs
274 x 274, 4 kbs
221 x 242, 10 kbs
131 x 200, 4 kbs
275 x 131, 8 kbs
74 x 100, 1 kb
116 x 87, 5 kbs
130 x 128, 3 kbs
120 x 120, 2 kbs - used on 3 pages.
200 x 154, 7 kbs
187 x 197, 3 kbs
80 x 80, 2 kbs - used on 2 pages.

...and a couple of other small .gif images not amounting to many kbs...

For the presentation I am making, I need these images...There is only 1 large
image per page, and 1 large and 1 smalll on some other pages, and on some
pages there is only 1 small image. All of the images are different except for
the duplicating the use of a couple small ones.

I really want this program smaller...30 megs is better, but not small enough...
there must be something else I can do to it to get the megs down.

Sure hope you, or someone, can tell me what else I might be doing wrong.

I'd Submit a Ticket - http://support.indigorose.com/v3/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit on this one.

Here are a few things to try:

1) Go to Project -> File Layout. In the bottom pane is all of the files in your project. There must be a file that does not belong hanging around. Perhaps a large video that is no longer in the project?

2) Publish to "Hard Drive Folder" and make sure that the target directory is empty first. Then browse through that folder and look for and files that do not belong.

3) Go to Tools -> Optimize Resources and make sure that the "Docs" folder is included. See what comes up.

I want to let everyone here know that:

Adam Kapilik is a genius!!! :yes

He has solved my "too large of megabytes per project"

The solution is: CHECK YOUR FONTS and make sure they are not too large.

Adam told me to go to: C:\Windows\Fonts and there you can check the size
of the fonts you plan on using in your project.

My project that Adam reviewed for me, went from 30 megs to around 8 megs.

THANKS AND A HUG FOR ADAM !!!!

Adam, did a quickdraw on a problem I had once (high noon it was too I believe) and shot that dastardly problem down, in code blood.

I'll never forget that day at the IDOK Corral!
