Unlocker is an Windows Explorer extension allowing you with a simple right-click on a file or folder to get rid of error message such as error deleting file or folder, cannot delete folder: it's being used by another person or program.

Surely this will come in handy at times.

:yes I could have used that the other day. I've got a friend who plows driveways... I keep his computer happy, he keeps my driveway plowed. Last week he got a bogus "Your Norton Utilities have Expired...click here to upgrade..." pop-up. Sadly, he clicked through. I spent an hour getting gunk off his box. A couple of files were locked out...this would have helped.

Exactly. Just when you want to delete a file, boom, a "in use" of sorts dialog chimes in to head you off at the pass. Ack!

I work in Information Technologies for a university and have used this tool countless times to remove spyware files from student PC's. I don't know what I'd do without it :yes
