Just wondering if anyone has gotten AMS to run under WINE? What about AMS projects? Gonna try this out myself a little later, but I have never had much luck with WINE to begin with. Just wondering if someone else has gotten it running, because Im sure someone has tried.

I think that default objects work.

Just don't use flat window style, use standard.

I use Debian Lenny all the time. I've compiled WINE a zillion times. I got AMS7 IDE working with WINE 1 time. Everything worked beautifully, project compiles worked, the whole nine yards.

All my apps I've ever built also work under WINE without any issues at all. However, I currently compiled the newest WINE 0.9.57 and AMS7 IDE no longer works. I've forgotten the terminal output errors now though. I believe it is a specific DLL issue that I am just missing some where. AMS7 IDE splash screen works wonderfully though!

The only issue when it was working that drove me crazy was every time the popup tips came up they would completely take over application focus. You couldn't get it back unless you clicked on the popup tip balloon window, then clicked inside the editor... was very annoying but other then that everything works perfectly from what I could tell at the time.

Edit:
Forgot to mention that I have never been able to get the installer for AMS7 to work pass the serial entry screen. At that point it became a zombie.
