Interesting... I'd like to see what's inside that box, though. It looks like what he's got is a nice flame that's basically recombining the 2H and O from the H2O. The question I've got is the energy used to split the H2O into the H and O. The phrase.

I had the same thought when Adam showed me that video the other day. For welders, at least, there could easily be a net gain, since the electrical costs of electrolysis would probably compare favorably to the costs of producing and transporting oxygen and acetylene?

The hybrid nature of his prototype vehicle is a bit off-putting, though...I wonder why it needed to be a hybrid? Is the gas engine powering a generator to produce the current for electrolysis? Or is it easier to adapt an engine to burn hydrogen as an addative as opposed to a full conversion? Or...?

Did it look like the ignition point is pretty far away from the tip of the torch? Or is that the actual flame? It was hard to tell on the video I saw, but it looked like the gases might be getting carried in a liquid stream, or jetted out under pressure.

Interesting stuff. (The news anchors were way too blasé about this story at the end - hopefully "the price of water doesn't go up" - it would be like someone reporting verified cold fusion and saying "haha, maybe now my lawnmower will be easier to start.")

If it's real (and not just a hoax), I'd be worried about getting in a "car accident" if I were him. :wow

I hope he has locked up his research and backed it up into several secret locations. And knowing the aggitation this could/would put to the "big companies", watch himself. Is he in danger I would wonder now. :eek:

But, how much is water to go up in price? Won't matter! We can just drive to a raining area, put out a bucket, come home!

It's certainly not top secret. The process requires pretty considerable electical current to work, so that would explain the need for a hybrid engine of some sort - there will need to be a power source. So, the water isn't fuel, really. It's an essential element for a chemical reaction that requires "fuel" or "electricity."

Do a search on Google for HHO gas. Just remember to consider the source of the information you come across... In the case of Bruce's video link, consider that it's a media outlet (Fox News). It's neither their forte nor their intent to give you the whole story.

Wasn't there a prototype car that had a by-product of water? Why not combine the two, add a little water, and it'll go forever! :D
