Hi there

Just so, i want to say hello and to share with you a library (dll) i wrote.

There are 7 functions in the library i wrote that i thought would help you in creating applications.

1-GetHostName //Resolve hostname in hostaddress
2-GetHostAddress //Resolve hostaddress in hostname.
3-GetGatewayAddress //Get the gateway (router) address.
4-GetWanAddress //Get the wan (external) address.
5-GetWebPageContent //Get the content of the webpages as string.
6-SendEmail //Send smtp email with attachment.
7-Whois //Perform whois queries.

There is a 8th function (GetLastKnownError) which returns the last error description in case you want to know the error if an error occur.


Here you can download the ams5 project files.

Here you can download the exe if you don't have the ams5 but still want to see what it does and use the library.

The library (MiscDllFunctions.dll) is written with vc++ 2005 so .net framework 2.0 is required.

The library is fully functional and works without any restriction.

I hope i have laid the finger in helping you somehow in holding the burden of creating exciting applications.

I hope that because of #6 (I held back from sharing such) we do not see more Anti-Spam programs nail AMS product in the near future (because I'm sadly confident that there are those that like to use such to Spam away via AMS).

Corey, thank you, i'm glad you find it useful.

Intrigued, long time no see, is true, been busy, but you see i've been thinking also about you guys, that's why this visit, you know the song "It's a hard knocked life for us...", that's why so long :lol (just kidding).
About the 6th function, yeah, i had to put a sort disclaimer like "use it, don't abuse it". I really hope it will be used right.

This was the very least what i could do for you guys.

I thought in the coming times about writting libraries(dll's) to extend the functionality of ams (beside what i do).

So until then, take care of yourselfs and of eachother (as Jerry Springer says it). :lol
