I like it, but theres a few things that "urk" me.

- The views column is usless and only takes up room in the table. At least maybe an option to display thread views in the user prefrences, that would be fine :).

- When I go to threads I haven't even seen before, it jumps down to the middle of the thread, it should only do that when you've viewed it all and then jump when theres new posts you havent seen.

- It needs to show WHO the last poster was on a thread.. that's really the only way I know if people are replying. Maybe that's just me being too lazy to remember the number of replies though ;)

Anyway, not complaints, but more comments & suggestions. I can live no matter what the forums are like, just giving my two cents.

Thanks for the comments on the new forums. Unfortunately, for most of them, we're constrained by what the software itself does. Of course tweaks to the standard cod can be made, but that causes headaches when Infopop puts out a new version.

As always, we'll do our best - if it can't be done now, hopefully it will be possible in the future!

I like the views column. It lets me know how much interest there has been in a particular thread.

I don't like the standard :) smiley, though. Doesn't look friendly/happy enough.

I never did like standard cod myself. It almost always needs to be jazzed up. Edward Grimley always suggested paprika for such a purpose - good stuff. So, perhaps another fish? ;)

I suppose it's fish for dinner again I must say... And cod of all fishes, just great I must say... Although I suppose I'll get to use the paprika again, and how exciting is that? Like only 'too' exciting I must say...

But seriously I think I had some shares in Standard Cod at one point. Click for more cod tweaking (http://www.genetics.org/cgi/content/full/157/1/317)...

It's the only thing I fear more than marching ants with Craftsman power saws. :)

Oh, and BTW, it's "irk" not "urk." :)

I agree on the smilies though, they aren't exactly very high-tech ;)

Yes, global smile techonolgy is evolving at a furious pace, today's modern super smiles are much more compact and efficient than ever before. Sony's new 64 bit smile changes the whole playing field.

The only thing I don't like about the new forum is I like to use the Tab key to go the Continue in the old forum and now when I do that I have to tab through all the Graemlins UBB code and Font Color. You are making me use my mouse. :(
