Maddening. They introduce their sponsors, announce a contest, then the guy starts a tutorial, gets 2 steps into it and says, "Come back later for the rest in part 2". (???) Way too TV slick for me, I'm incapable of sitting through filler, it's a genetic condition. :wow

Thanks much for the link though! I'm sure lots of other folks will love those videos. Definitely anyone reading this should check them out and see what you think. :yes

HEHEHEHE. I could not even sit through the sponsers, and the crack the guy made about "more better" or something of that nature. Seems really unprofessional. I just noticed the link of "photoshoptv" and thought of you. Sorry it was not better.

It's a shame, I see a lot of this in new media lately. They get the best experts and the best topics and then screw it up trying to pretend they're TV people. Most of the new video podcasts have that feel. I like the way Digital Life TV works. A few ads to pay the bills but you can skip them easily, and the rest of the time those guys are full of substance, with no filler. DLTV is as good a model as I've seen so far for this stuff.

I bought a vidcam last year with the intention of putting out tons of stuff but I quickly realized it would take me a year or two to put out anything semi-pro looking so I decided to learn and wait and just do it when I'm ready. Slowly behind the scenes I've been building up a ton of stuff which I will unleash once it's pro quality, and not a second before.

I think the error these guys make is squandering their first impression equity. IMO you just don't get a second chance and that was a big mistake on their part. On the other hand these people are profit oriented and heaven knows that mediocre new media is a good formula for that, so I don't expect any changes any time soon. The sponsors probably *love* these guys.

Truth be told I'll probably still wade through it when I'm in a patient mood sometime, in between the filler there's got to be some gold. On a strictly "Photoshop skills" basis, those guys are no slouches for sure. It's a great link. :yes
