I just found out that if you install (as I just did) the DataGrid Plugin into the AMS 6 root directory (instead of the AMS 5, as it defaults too in the install routine) that all of the Object plugins (ALT+O+G) get mixed up.

To duplicate do as I stated above and then check each Object plugin and you should see what I ran into, each named plugin, when clicked on, loads another Object plugin!

Did I miss how to install this plugin properly into AMS 6? Worm? Brett?

I can quickly get AMS 6 back to functioning properly by removing the directory that was put into the Plugins directory by the DataGrid Plugin install routine.

But, I want to use the DataGrid Plugin.

:wow

I just installed the DataGrid plugin here and I had no issues. Did you get the dialog from AMS stating "Due to a software upgrade.... yada yada the menus have changed"? And did you answer yes to that?

First time = NO

Second time = YES

As I read your reply I believe I found how to correct such if one answers NO to that popup. I just manually installed back that directory for the plugin and then fired up AMS 6. Now it's working as it should.

Thanks Worm for the quick reply.

ps. The reason I answered no is because I thought it was goint to change my Toolbars that show and because there is an outstanding Save Layouts bug I did not want to have to resetup my IDE.

No problem... Thanks for using the DataGrid. I'd love to see how people are using this plugin. I think it's one of the best kept secrets for AMS.

I actually get today off from work so I am trying to put some extra time into AMS and not the ANSI C book or http://www.learn-c.com/ .
