Chaps (and Chapesses)

I know some of you have problems following my ramblings (and not just the Portuguese !). So when I stumbled across this site, I thought "just the thing for my North American, language challenged chums" /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif.

Its a little out of date, but interesting non the less.

It says

BALACLAVA n. 1. A ski mask. The term originates from the Battle of Balaclava where the BALACLAVA was invented.

I didn't know that, very interesting. I wonder where/when the Battle of Toque was?
