I'm currently investigating ways to distribute secure :lol :o documents.
I'm keen to use Flashpaper2 but I can't work out how to disable the option to print.
Has anybody sussed this yet?

Just FYI I'm not sure any of the vector formats are "secure". For example if you simply install the freeware "Ghostscript" on your computer, you are free to print "unprintable" PDFs with razor sharp quality, it converts them. I believe same goes for .swf although I may be wrong. FWIW though .swfs are not particulary secure so even if there isn't a utility out there to print protected .swfs there probably will be, so that's worth considering in your mid-to-long term planning for this. There's a ton of Flash decompilers around, I haven't been keeping track though so I'm not sure how they deal with Flashpaper .swfs, last time I checked they were able to edit content in .swfs, export clips from .swfs, etc. 2 cents anyhow... :)
I believe these (attached) are the only configurable properties available for Flashpaper per se. Or at least that's all I can find. :yes

Thanks Corey,
I've been trawling around for a couple of hours now and I keep coming up with various references as follows:-
Functions supported by the IFlashPaper interface:
showUIElement(part:String, flag:Boolean):Void; Hides or displays part of the user interface in the FlashPaper document. The currently supported, case-sensitive values for part are the following:
"PrevNext" The Previous Page and Next Page toolbar buttons are hidden or shown.
Note: If these buttons are hidden, the Current Page text box is disabled, but not hidden.
"Print" The Print toolbar button is hidden or shown.
"Tool" All tool selection buttons on the toolbar are hidden or shown.
"Zoom" All zoom-related controls on the toolbar are hidden or shown.
"Find" All text-search-related controls on the toolbar are hidden or shown.
"Pop" The Open Document in New Browser Window toolbar button is hidden or shown.
"Sidebar" The sidebar (displaying the document outline) is hidden or shown
I've imported a flashpaper swf to the stage in Flash MX 2004 but this is clearly not the way to do it.
There is a fairly long article HERE (http://sdc.shockwave.com/support/documentation/en/flashpaper/2/flashpaper_api/flashpaper_api3.html) but it's getting late and it is just going straight over my head.

That's interesting. Hmm, must be a newer version than I'm using... :yes

Nah, it's the same version, I'm just using a script I found out there somewhere. Most of it is documented in the FlashPaper documentation.

I was thinking of this bit:
"Print" The Print toolbar button is hidden or shown.

Ron,
I'm way behind you (and most other people) in Flash having only used it to do the odd timeline animation.
I take it that you created the Flashpaper pages that have no print options before putting them into FlipAlbum?
If you've got time, I'd appreciate a breakdown of the process you used - in terms that a Flash novice can understand :D
(anybody else noticed how smilies always include a \r\n and have to be dragged back to where you want them)
