Is there a way to have projects downloaded that don't scare of people. They click on icon for download then get exe. file and some computers scare people off.

Thank you for your help,
Randy

How about creating a page they go to (surf, navigate) and then that page explains what the .exe (application) is for, created by who, ect. etc. and then have a link for the .exe of course.

Or, look at how I did my Flash Website for (shameless plug on my slowly dating, but still useful Website) www.amsuser.com. They may be mostly .apz (AMS project files) but it would work just as well if it was .exes.

Or, you can just .zip (ZIP) the .exe's and then have that as a link for download.

Hi Randy.

1. That's about the best way there is. If you go to the web sites of the largest, most advanced software companies such as Adobe, Microsoft, and Macromedia you will see that this is how they deploy files. If it's good enough for Microsoft... :)

2. You can create a .zip archive which contains your .exe file. Zip is the second most popular way to provide files for download, after .exe.
