I'm in the middle of looking into buying a 7800 GTX .. but so many brands to choose from :rolleyes
Does anybody have any good/bad experinces with any, or can recommend a particular brand.
I wasnt too impressed with the creative card I had a while ago. Since then I've had MSI and Asus and concluded they were good, but I'm curious about the others available.

i have the Asus FX 6600GT 256mg PCIe and it works great! i dont remember what it benchmarked at with Unreal Tournament 03. it was somewhere around 80 FPS @ 1024 x 768 32bit. I really like Asus because they dont go cheap. I bought Epox Motherboard because the board was rated #2 (behind Asus) but was $180 cheaper than the Asus Board.
you probably already know this site but for those that dont

I would recommend you stick with the NVidia chip set no matter what. :yes Started out with a 5950 and I now have a 6800GT OC from BFG. It is 256meg overclocked out of the box. :lol I will add this that what you get should depend on your needs. I have 1 pc for gaming and another for scripting, APMS, PSCS2, Ulead video and so on and so on. My gaming card is the 6800GT and I play HL2, FEAR, Quake4 and other FPS type games along with many others. Just got Age of Empires 3 and I am looking forward to playing that this weekend. I have had ATI chip based cards and they were good but NVidia just out performs them in most head to head comps that I have read. Check out Maximum PC magazine when you get the chance. :yes I get 12 issues a year and a cd packed full of game demos and utilities with every mag. :D Good Luck.
