I didn't see this plugin mentioned when I searched for it, so...

This is a free plugin that works on many different systems:

I love the fact that it uses 64 bit internal processing to make your audio sound worse! :p

At this point Fish Fillets is probably one of the more useful free plug-in sets around. Blockfish compressor, Spitfish de-esser, and Floorfish gate/expander are used by a surprising number of producers/engineers in professional projects. Ease of use is probably their strong point but the quality seems quite decent in addition. I've used them lots and have always been pleased with the results. :yes

I haven't used dominion but it looks interesting, I plan to check it out when I get some time. :yes
