Besides all of the obvious negative imacts something like this can have, (takes all the fun out of hide-and-seek) the technology is pretty cool/scary.

Seems more on the scary side to me...besides, did you see how much they cost? Yikes!

Seems more on the scary side to me...
Agreed. "Scary" is definitely an apt word for this.

Their slogan should be:

"For the stalker in all of us"

In my opionion this product should be banned. period.

Yeah, I always wonder what gadgets our intelligence agency really has at its disposal when things like these become publicly available...

Obviously this is technology that the military/gov't is no longer concerned with falling into the wrong hands...and I would rate this small of a device that does what it does pretty high on the list of things I would not want to be publicly available.

"hey, man...follow your daughter home...find out who she's been spending all of her time with...follow your daughter home..." - some lame song by the Guess Who

Those could come in handy for back-country hiking trips...although, would you really want your rescuers to find you wearing pretty little panties? (If you're a guy, I mean.) Even if you just carried them in your pocket, they might mistake you for a psycho and give you the bright light treatment ("WHERE DID YOU HIDE HER? WHERE IS THE HOSTAGE???").

I smell a spoof, though...I mean, how is something with a watch battery in it "undetectable?" Yeah right. :)

I feel... if you have to "tag" your spouse with this type of technology there are a couple options I have for you:

A. Get your head checked out

B. Get a new spouse... as you obviously do not trust the one you are with and that will just lead to a lot of problems, stress, and possibly worse!

I suppose it is a good thing that this is actually a fake: http://showdown.contagiousmedia.org/

At least it was a grand-prize winning fake...that makes me feel better... :o

That is great news that this is a fake.

It's a good thing I didn't call this in to "Coast to Coast AM".... because then I'd really look stupid.

The thing is that if you think that your spouse is cheating then:

A) He/She is

OR

B) you are paranoid and by getting caught spying on him/her you loose all credibility

Either way you loose. The only remedy is trust, and of course spying if they really are :rolleyes

Either way this is a touchy subject at best

Adam.
