I was doing a Google search on some old PLATO (http://www.cyber1.org/) folks and came accross THIS LINK (http://www.atarimagazines.com/creative/v11n4/120_Outpost_Atari_new_compu.php) by an old PLATO geek. Lots of thoughts on some "new" hardware. One of the things that amused me was the 15MB hard drive for the amazing low price of $400. Not counting inflation, and counting current rebates that $400 could have bought you ten 160GB drives at Best Buy last week. Neat.

Thanks Gary, that was fun. I used to have an Atari 520 ST, and later a 1040 ST and both monitors. I was never able to afford the hard drive. The article forgot to mention that the ST came with MIDI plugs.

Fun times!

I really love this quote from the article:

the Motorola 68000 microprocessor, a fast and efficient chip, and clock it at 8.0 MHz, which is really fast.
